Saving Lives

Man’s Best Friend Needs Help

Each year millions of dogs are euthanized in animal shelters. The sad truth is that over 50% of dogs that enter into shelters are put down because no homes can be found for them.

In order to reduce this number and help save lives, I donate a portion of all profits made through Matt Walks Dogs to rescue groups. These organizations exist to take dogs out of high kill shelters, foster them, and eventually find them forever homes. Click here to learn about some of the rescue groups I donate to.

When you do business with me, you can rest assured that I am someone who cares about dogs, and I actively try to give back to help save them.

Thinking about getting another dog? Consider adoption!

Only about 30% of the dogs in US homes are adopted. When you adopt a dog, you’re not only getting a great pet, but you’re potentially saving a life and opening up another spot in a rescue facility for a new dog.

But I want a purebred…

Did you know that 25% of dogs in shelters are purebreds? If you’re looking for a specific breed, you may be able to find it through a rescue group. There are some groups that are breed specific! So before you consider heading to the local pet store, consider adopting! It’s well worth it!

The easiest way to find a pet to adopt is through PetFinder | http://www.petfinder.com/. They offer search tools, so you can find the dog that meets your needs and desires!
